Adventures in Homeschooling!!

Wow, has it really been 6 weeks since I last made a post? We have been working so hard with our schooling! Jaren is in K5 and he loves watching his dvds, they are entertaining for us too! He is doing well and can already read about 10 words. Jadon started doing the dvd program, but we were spending mostly the whole day doing it. We decided to omit the dvds and work one-on-one doing the lessons together. This has greatly helped and reduced the time to about 2-2 1/2 hours a day. We also decided to put him back into the Abeka curriculum that he has done at his Christian school the last 2 years, this has really helped in this transition. Anyway, all is going well! The boys are enjoying swimming lessons at the YMCA and starting back in to Master's Club at church on Wednesday nights. We also went on our first field trip to the Creation Muesum last Friday and we had a blast! Very highly recommended! I will post new pics soon!
